Shalom and welcome to talmidimyeshua.org. The Hebrew word talmidim is defined as "disciples" or "followers". One of the names of the Moshiach (Messiah which means "annointed") is Yeshua. It is one of the Hebrew words that means "salvation". This is a perfect description of Him as He is the only savior, perfect example, and image of the Father.

This site contains essays on various topics which are presented using the filter of the history contemporary to the time when scripture was written along with all of the scriptures themselves including the following...

1Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: 2That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. 3Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey. 4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. - Deuteronomy 6:1-5

16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. 17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 5:16-20

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. - Matthew 16:27

If ye love me, keep my commandments. - John 14:15

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. - John 15:10

20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. 29Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: 30Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. 31Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. - Romans 3:20-31

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace... - I Corinthians 14:33

8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. - Ephesians 2:8-10

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. - I Thessalonians 5:21

15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. - II Timothy 2:15-16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: - II Timothy 3:16

3For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. - Titus 3:3-7

22But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. - James 1:22-25

10For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 11For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. 12So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. 13For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. 14What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? - James 2:10-20

These scriptures are from the King James translation, also known as the Authorized Version. It can be a useful tool for study because there are a large number of lexicons and concordances written for it. However, it is not the best. While there are some translations that are not useful for in depth study, there most likely is not a best version, or translation, of the scriptures. The KJV has no copyright restrictions on its use and thus, it is often used on this site. However, various translations of scripture will be used in the studies on this site for comparison and clarification when necessary.

Technology provides many tools to aid in the study of the scriptures. Material from other sources is referenced in studies contained at talmidimyeshua.org. There are also computer applications that are helpful. One application that can be purchased is Logos Bible Software. Fonts from the discontinued applicaton BibleWorks were used to make the "Shalom" image at the top of this page. Copyright statement for the font used in that image: "BWHEBB, BWHEBL, BWTRANSH [Hebrew]; BWGRKL, BWGRKN, and BWGRKI [Greek] PostScript® Type 1 and TrueType fonts Copyright © 1994-2013 BibleWorks, LLC. All rights reserved. These Biblical Greek and Hebrew fonts are used with permission and are from BibleWorks (www.bibleworks.com)."

There are also applications that are free or mostly free to use, such as the Online Bible software available at The Online Bible web site. Books will be used also. Effort will be made to provide photocopy image links to book sources that may be hard to find, but copyright restrictions may prevent the linking of some material. All of these tools are helpful. However, they must be used to be helpful.

The studies on this site are the works of men. Therefore, they must be proven. When scriptures are listed, they should be read. When sources are given, they should be reviewed if at all possible. However, this does not mean that the author of an essay on this site is in agreement with everything that the author of the source believes. Additionally, only careful and diligent study will provide a talmid (disciple) the knowledge of the truth. Do not take things for granted. Remember II Timothy 2:15-16.

The code used on this site conforms to xhtml standards as much as possible, so that it will display properly on the widest range of browsers. However, when rendering fonts in other languages, there may be some errors in some browsers and operating systems. The Unicode fonts Ezra SIL Regular for Hebrew and Gentium for Greek can be downloaded for free at the site which hosts them. These fonts are used in some essays. Also, fonts built into most newer computer operating systems are specified in the code for the essays on this site to prevent garbled text.

In browsers, a warning may be seen on a page when it is loaded that warns of the restriction of active content or scripting. This happens because javascript code is sometimes used on this site.
